Demo racket policy
Our service is demo hire only. We do not sell rackets. The £20 fee covers your 7-day trial, dispatch, and a prepaid return label — with no deposit and no obligation to buy.
How much does it cost?
We charge £20 per demo racket, and a second racket in the same demo is half price (£10). This covers a 7-day trial, delivery to you, and a prepaid return label. There is no deposit and no commitment to buy.
How long can I keep the demo?
We allow 14 days from the date of dispatch to the date of return. This gives you a full 7 days to try the racket on court. Late returns may affect your ability to book future demos.
Who pays the postage?
The £20 demo fee covers both delivery to you and the return postage. We send rackets via a tracked 24-hour courier and include a prepaid return label in the box.
What grip size are the tennis demos?
All our tennis demos are grip size 3. You are welcome to add an overgrip while you have the racket — just leave it in place when you return it.
What happens if the strings break?
String breakages are an unavoidable part of racket sports. If the strings break during your demo, return the racket to us and we will restring it at no charge — or you can have it restrung locally at your own expense.
What happens if the frame breaks?
Frame breakages are your responsibility unless caused by a manufacturing fault. In the unlikely event that a frame breaks, please return the racket to us for assessment. If the manufacturer does not replace it, you may be charged the cost of replacing the demo racket in our pool. We will need the broken racket returned to us in any instance. For Padel and Squash demos, due to the nature of the sports, there is a greater risk of frame breakages. Please be aware that all demos are checked for damage upon return, and frame breakages will incur charges.
What if I don’t like the racket?
That is exactly what the demo service is for. If a racket is not right for you, send it back and try a different one. There is no obligation to buy — we only hire demo rackets.
How do I return the racket?
Please return the racket using the box and bubble-wrap bags in which it arrived. We have included a return address envelope for you to attach to the box. Most rackets are too long to go via standard Royal Mail, so please use a tracked courier that requires a signature.
Non-returned rackets
If a racket is not returned, you will receive reminders. If this proves unsuccessful, we may pursue a claim for the full recommended retail price of the racket. This includes rackets lost in transit. We recommend you choose a postage service that requires a signature and take out sufficient insurance to cover the cost of the racket — any losses in transit back to us are your responsibility.
Still have questions? Our demo rackets are specifically set aside for hire, so a small amount of wear and tear and string breakages is expected and will never be charged.
